In continuation of War Office letter,

Number as above, dated 3rd instant, I am commanded by

the Army Council to enquire whether the estimate of

$1,210,739 for the military contribution payable by

Hong Kong during 1909 (0.0. letter 43428 of 28th

November 1908) still holds good.

The Army Council would be glad to receive

any further information that may now be available as

to the probable revenue of the Colony in 1909, for

use in connection with a forecast of Army expenditure

during the current financial year.
